Raiders A United

The Raiders A United team faced the Lancers last week and came away with a 33-0 win.

The Raiders Matt Pluta recovered an early fumble, and Sykesville scored on a pass from Matt Caillouet to Spenser Ricks. Logan Brennan also scored on another pass from Caillouet. Later, Zachary Custred crushed the Lancers' quarterback and Caillouet intercepted and ran for a touchdown.

Alex Bontzos returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and added an extra point. Calliouet ran for a touchdown in the third quarter. Mark Wells provided key running in the fourth quarter. The Raiders will face the Winfield Cavaliers on Friday at 8 p.m. at Mayeski Park.

Raiders E National

The Raiders E National defeated Arbutus, 12-0, this past week. Emmett Avery threw with precision to Jeremy Barger and Cole Clark-Casey, but the offense was unable to score.

The Raiders defense led by Christian O'Hern, Josh Ambrose, and Kevin Foster held the Eagles in their territory. Both Raider touchdowns were scored by the defense. Brenden Crouse stripped the ball from an Eagles carrier and ran to the end zone. Brendan Webster forced a fumble and Garrett Cooper recovered for a score.

Sykesville Raiders B+

The B+ Raiders took on the Warhawks last week and came away with a a tough 28-0 loss. Good play was turned in by Frank Vintz, Kyle Davis, CJ Beasley and Austin Twigg. Steven Stetcher and Henry Ball were a crushing force on the defense.

Raiders B-2 Federal Ferguson

In a matchup between two undefeated teams, the Raiders unseated the Linganore Lancers, 13-6. The Lancers scored first, but the Raiders answered with a 30-yard touchdown by Ryan Upton. With the Lancers threatening, Vinny Oneto intercepted a pass, and Chris Ricks scored a touchdown and extra point.

Raiders White vs. Silver

The Raiders Federal E3 White team played against the Raiders Federal E3 Silver team. The first half saw great tackles by the White team's Tanner Parrott and Brady Rubinstein. The offense had great runs and kick returns by Brett Kropinski and Hunter Rask.

Zach Stump made his debut with long carries for first downs. The second half of the game the White defense came alive with fumble recoveries and a pass deflection by Samual Candland plus tackling by Will Dobrzykowski, Nicholas Henderson, Joey Caputo and Nick Colby. Ben Summersgill helped the offensive with a run, and Max Downs had a great kick return.

Raiders Pitbull White

The Raiders Pitbull White team took on Reisterstown in a defensive struggle last Friday. The Raiders were led by good runs by Jason Hunter and Jordan Stokes. Justin Mintzer had a 33-yard touchdown on a quarterback keeper.

Big defensive plays by Hunter, Tyler Stratemeyer, Connor Shephard and Hunter Ebert stopped Reisterstown in the backfield. Tackles by the linebacker corps of Mintzer, Blake Gable, Logan Custred and Blake Wisnauskas along with an interception by Gable kept the Mustangs in check.

Raiders 8-10 Federal Silver

The Raiders 8-10 Federal Silver team defeated the Western Howard Warhawks, 13-12, Saturday.

The offensive line, led by Cole Stambaugh, John Ashby, Andrew Zahn, Jordan Santis and Matt Shephard dominated the line. The offense scored on runs by Ryan Heim and Max Kirin, and Paul Candland added an extra point. The Raiders defense pressured the Warhawk offense, with key tackles by Jake Kropinski, Austin Bromley and Ryan Heim. Max Kirin broke up an extra point pass that would have tied the game.

Raiders Pitbull Silver

On a rainy Friday at home, the Raiders Pitbull Silver team took on North Carroll. Wth outstanding blocking by Nathann Holmes, Brian Fuentes and Luke Downs, the Raiders' running game saw hard running by Colby Weishaar for three touchdowns. Also scoring were Derek Baldwin, Colby Owings and Aaron Ostendorf.

The Raiders defense disrupted the Panthers all night. Leading the way on defense were Dylan Smith, Wyatt Dickey and Alex Khan with several fumbles and tackles behind the line.

This week the Pitbull Silver team travels to Westminster.

Raiders 11-13 Federal

The Sykesville Raiders 11-13 Federal Division fell to 3-2 when the team lost to the Western Howard County Warhawks, 12-7, Saturday.

The Raiders led at the half, 7-6, as Sykesville got on the board when Bobby Summersgill threw a 26-yard touchdown to Tommy Flaherty. Nick Corprew capped the drive with a reception for the extra point. The Raiders had solid blocking from Joey Whitener, Booby Wise and Dan Hornberger.

The Raiders defense kept pressure on the Warhawks, but it was not enough. Travis Heffler, Cameron Forshee and Ryan Lewis led the team in tackles and Flaherty, Bobby Wise and Cesar Jimenez added sacks.

Raiders D-1 National Tucker

The Raiders turned in a dominant performance against Arbutus. They found the end zone five times led by two long runs by Blade Hansarik and dominant line play by Bryce Batson and the quarterback play of Alex Stefanick. Kevin McNulty, Jack Myers and Scott Murri led the defense.

Raiders Federal B Silver

The Raiders took on the Columbia Ravens and opened with a touchdown by Justin Keller. Keller added another 55-yard touchdown and Levi Robey kicked a two-point goal. Carter Robins later added another touchdown.

On defense, Wesley Prettyman tallied an interception, and awesome tackling was recorded by Robins, Brandon Harris, Prettyman, Keller, Justin Schramm, Robert Lofink, Adam Fetterman and Mitch Spears for a Raiders win, 20-0.

Raiders D Black vs. White

The Raiders D Federal Black squad continued its unbeaten streak with a 13-0 win over the Raiders D White. The Black team amassed nearly 250 yards rushing behind runs by Harrison Trostle and Jimmy Lucas. The balance of the rushing was by Joey Fusee, Michael Presley and Luke Brandenburg.

On defense, Kevin Gicking, Zach Frizzera, Sam Ashe, Braden Lee and Chris Maurantonio led the charge.

Raiders D Federal Silver

The Raiders D Federal Silver team played St. Peter's at Western Regional Park, and came away with a tough loss. Offensively, Tristan Fallin had three carries, including one touchdown. Caleb Krause tallied more than 70 yards, and Corey Luthe provided a 20-yard kickoff return and a fumble recovery. Ben Agostino completed a touchdown pass to Connor Armstrong, who also added a rushing touchdown On defense, Kevin Lynch, Luthe, C. Arnstrong, Jimmy Toth, Braden Puller, Kyle Bryant and Preston Ricks had multiple tackles.

Raiders Pitbull Black

The Raiders Pitbulls Black hosted the Urbana Hawks. Tyler Gemmell directed the Sykesville offense, and James Galanakis and Nick Maggio opened holes to allow Brett Nastos a 25 yard run. The defense bottled up Urbana with outstanding tackles from Bryce Ferguson, Garrett Beebe, and Cameron Hagen.

Raiders National 9-11

The Raiders welcomed Arbutus and overcame the rain and the Eagles; winning 24-0. With Tyler Webster under center, the Raiders marched down field behind the right side of their line which included Jake Roach, Cole Gable and Deion Minor. Nick Gesuldi had close to 160 yards and four touchdowns.

On defense, John Knox, Tom Whalen, Joey Bender, Justin Wittfelt and Hayden Foster controlled the line of scrimmage and shut down the Eagles. The Raiders host the Columbia Ravens Saturday.

Raiders E Federal Black

The Raiders 6-8 Federal Black team prevailed over the Linganore. The Raiders defense, led by Alan Wood, JP Daly and Wes Kirin, allowed only one score. Big tackles were turned in by Nick Loppotta, Nolan Karfonta, Evan Usi and Jacob Diehl. Ben Carroll caused a fumble as did Karfonta. On offense, Usi found the end zone three times.

Raiders E Silver vs. E White

The Sykesville Raiders Federal E Silver Team played the Raiders Federal E White team in a game that saw Silver prevail, 18-0 rout. The Raiders Silver defense shut down the White offense behind linebackers Jack Bulakites and Ryan Clatterbuck and linemen Trevor Smoot, Jeremy Jones and Billy Bentley.

Offensively, the Silver squad scored three touchdowns behind the running of quarterback Ryan Clatterbuck and Tahj and Kolbe Roberts. On special teams, Sean Scott saved a would-be White touchdown late in the game.
