First Sunday drama -- The New Life Drama Co. will perform at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 2205 Old Liberty Road, Eldersburg, on Sunday, April 5, at 9:15 a.m. The performance is one of several events scheduled for the church's Family Sunday celebration; other include Palm Sunday Worship at 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. followed by Easter Egg hunts, games, relays, arts and crafts and more. "Religion and Science" -- a free nine-week video-based study with discussion time, will be held at Deer Park United Methodist Church, 2205 Sykesville Road, Smallwood, every Tuesday in April at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Residents are welcome to one, some, or all sessions. Lenten services -- Faith Lutheran Church, 1700 St. Andrews Way, Eldersburg will host the following Lenten/Easter services. Call 410-795-8082.

Lenten services are held 7 p.m. Wednesdays through April 1.

Maundy Thursday service will be April 9, 7 p.m., and Good Friday service will be 7 p.m. April 10.

On Easter Sunday, April 12, there will be a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. on the church lawn, another service at 8 a.m., Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. and late service at 10:30 a.m.

Eldersburg Jewish Congregation -- hosts Shabbat services at 8 p.m. Fridays. Interfaith families are invited to attend. Call 410-549-6325 for details.

Qigong class -- Bob Ciampaglia will offer an Introduction to Qigong class Thursday, April 9, 7 to 9 p.m. at Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists Church, 2912 Clubhouse Road, Finksburg. This is a free class, however, donations will be appreciated. Ciampaglia will cover what Qigong (pronounced Chi-Gong) is, how it can energize and strengthen mind, body and spirit and what the exercises are. If time permits, there may be some meditation.
